BKU protests causing daily loss of Rs 3.78 lakh to NHAI

The incident took place yesterday when the activists of the farmer's body laid siege to the Dasna toll plaza and started an indefinite strike, leading to chaos and disorder in the area.

Freezing the toll collection on Dasna toll barrier leads to a loss of Rs 3.87 lakh daily to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), MK Gupta, Project Director, NHAI said.

However, more than 21,000 vehicles ply on Dasna toll plaza daily, many of which manage without paying toll, Gupta said.
