The ex-husband of Whitney Houston, who was convicted in February for drunk driving and driving with a suspended license, was taken into Van Nuys to serve a nearly two-month jail sentence, but was let go much earlier.
Brown, 44, checked into LA County Jail at 9:58 AM Wednesday and was released at 6:58 PM, reported TMZ.
An LA County Sheriff's spokesperson said just days ago Brown would serve nine days due to jail overcrowding.
The Grammy winner is under four years of informal probation and must complete an 18-month alcohol treatment program following his release.
