The bodies of Vikash Gupta and his friend and distant relative Mukesh Gupta (both around 26 years) were found hanging in an under-construction house, where Vikash used to live, police said.
The Officer-in-charge of the police station, Ashok Giri said Vikash had fled home about a month ago but returned soon after a missing report was lodged by his relatives.
Vikash was known to have been depressed for some time.
It was a clear case of suicide as police recovered a three-page suicide note as well as liquor bottle from the spot, he said adding Mukesh was suspected to have consumed liquor before he took the extreme step.
Police sent the bodies for post-mortem.
