The body, identified as Saddam Hussain and a resident of Unnao, was recovered this afternoon from the forest near Armapur estate, police spokesman said.
Hussain was missing from his relative's house in Armapur area since last night, he said.
While the victim's family alleged it to be a murder, police is not ruling its out as a case of suicide.
The body was sent for post-mortem and police was investigating the matter, the spokesman added.
