The body of another Burdwan blast accused Shakil Ahmed alias Shakil Gazi, whose native village remained untraced, was buried here today.
Shakil Ahmed and Abdul Karim, both suspected JMB militants, were killed in an IED blast at Khagragarh in Burdwan town on October 2.
The body was lying in the morgue of Burdwan Medical College since the bomb blast and it was today handed over to his wife Razia Bibi who was also arrested after the blast, the police said.
Razia Bibi, who has been lodged in NIA custody, was brought with her infant daughter from Kolkata to Burdwan police station this morning and the body was buried in her presence at Alamganj Burial Ground here, the police said.
The whereabouts of Shakil Ahmed remained untraced as the police could not locate his house at Karimpur in Nadia district or in Midnapore town of West Bengal as per the information given by Razia Bibi.
The body of the other accused Abdul Karim was handed over to his family members on 12 November and buried in his village in Birbhum district.
