Police SI (Intelligence section) Chandru said the body of one Bazheer Ahmed (56) was extricated from the rubble at around 0200 hrs today.
Of the six persons injured, four were treated as outpatients and discharged. The other two, including a woman were hospitalised and their condition is stated to be out of danger.
The SI said the building owner was arrested today and was being questioned. Operations to clear the debris was going on and may take two or three days to be over, he said.
Since it was an old building, not many people were staying in it. The first and ground floors were not occupied.
