The body of a college clerk, who had been missing from May 10, was recovered from the Ganga canal in Khatauli here, police said today.
Circle Officer Rajive Kumar Singh said the body of Sumesh Sharma was recovered last evening while the police was trying to trace a missing boy.
He said that it is suspected that Sharma, who was from Roorkee, committed suicide following a family dispute.
The body was sent for post-mortem and the police were probing the matter, the CO said.
Meanwhile, three people committed suicide in the district last evening, police said.
Murtaza, 24, killed himself by jumping before a train in Civil Lines Police Station area here and a 22- year-old married woman, Shalu hanged herself from the ceiling in her house in Bhakahwri village.
In the third incident, a 25-year-old woman killed herself by consuming poison at Akhlor village here.
