Body of suspected gangster recovered in Ghaziabad

The body of a suspected gangster was today recovered from the forests of Bhopura village here, police said today.
Body of the deceased, Gyanendra, a resident of Dujana in Gautam Budh Nagar, was found in Bhopura village in Muradnagar area, R P Sharma, Station-in-charge Muradnagar Thana said.
According to the police, many cases amounting to grave charges were pending against Gyanendra in Noida, Ghaziabad and Bulandshahar areas.
The body of the alleged criminal had five bullets marks, police said, adding that two .312 bore cartridge shells were found from the crime scene.
Gyanendra was either killed by his gang members or by the opponents and he must have been held in captivity when the crime occurred, police said after examining the scene.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and a probe is on in the matter, police said.
