The body was discovered yesterday by one Vinod Kumar when he had gone to fill his water tanker at the tube-well, Sub Inspector Aniruddh said.
Kumar claimed that the woman seemed to be about 24-years- old and was strangulated to death with a scarf.
A case has been registered at sector-55 in Faridabad under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence), and the body has been sent for post-mortem to PGI, Chandigarh,
The SI said the investigation is underway and efforts are being made to identify the body.
