Body recovered from NRS medical college hostel identified

Two days after the recovery of a body of an unidentified man from the boys' hostel of NRS Medical College and Hospital here, family members today identified the body and filed a case in the matter.
"The body has been identified by his family members as Korpan Shah, a resident of Uluberia in Howrah district," the police said.
Police had suo motu filed a case of murder on November 16, when the body was found from the third floor of the hostel.
"Some injury marks were there on the body of the deceased," the police said.
Though the police have questioned some inmates of the hostel in connection with the case, they did not rule out the possibility of outsiders committing the crime.

West Bengal Minister of State for Health Chandrima Bhattacharya had said the state government would take action in the case after receiving the inquiry reports from the police and the hospital authorities.
