The base has been set up at the office of state PSU Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board (GWSSB).
Stating that Denmark had high water expertise, knowledge and competence, GWSSB member secretary Mahesh Singh said the best technologies would be imported from the Scandinavian country to provide clean and potable drinking water to all villages and cities in the state.
"A pilot project has been initiated in Rajkot, helping prevent water losses, strengthening the local water distribution systems and scaling up the water supply system in the state. Rs 2 crore have been spent on the project, which will take upon water audit, estimate leakage amount and reduce non-revenue water (NRM)," Singh said.
