"I got a good girlfriend in Farah Khan....Mane aa chhokari bahuj game chhe...(I like this girl very much)," the actor said in a typical Parsi accent evoking peels of laughter from the students of a college at Limda village.
Boman and Farhan visited the institute situated on the outskirts of the city as part of the film promotion, ahead of the August 24 release of the romcom, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's sister Bela Sehgal.
"I enjoy playing the role of a hero...You see I have become an actor after working as a salesman selling underwears!," the 52-year-old said.
Boman and Farah were each presented with a miniature spinning wheel as the memento on the occasion by the college management.
After his felicitation, Boman quipped that he would use the spinning wheel for weaving cloths for Farah, to which she replied, "I would use it for making a towel for Boman as he has to cover himself with it during a scene in the movie".
Boman is playing a love-stuck Parsi salesman in the movie.
"Until now, I have played roles like father of leading actresses including Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone among others. Now for the first time, I am playing a lead against a heroine, which gives me a special joy," he said.
On her role, Farah said she had to shed the flab to fit into the character.
"Destiny played a major role in turning me into a heroine with 'Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi. I am happy to lose weight for the role. This is a clean and nice movie typical of Sanjay Leela Bhansali," she added.
