Policemen on duty at the bungalow in the administrative area of the town spotted the bicycle near the place where the chief minister would be staying for the night.
The police said the personnel of bomb squad found that the tiffin box contained some food and the owner of the bicycle has not been located.
The police took away the bicycle and have been looking for its owner.
A blast in a moving bicycle suspected to have been carried by militant outfit Kamtapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) killed five people near here in December last year.
