"We have brought from the closet items like Maharani Dal, a must at zamindari households and East India Company babus with the original recipes and love to serve this on platter as revelers flock to our place in between rounds to Shovabazar rajbari and the Sabarno Choudhury pujas," a spokesman of the cuisine initiative said.
"Also now eclipsed fusion food items like the Italian influenced Fish Florentine, which the English educated gentry had brought to vogue in the 19th century, will be introduced for the aficionado,"the spokesman from Square 405 said.
Gushing how he strictly goes by a regimen of Bengali delicacies on at least one puja day, from 'begun bhaja' to 'kopta' and 'macher kalia' Surojit said, "But I am yet to taste the Mahaerani Dal. I hope to do this time."
