Titled "Commentary on The National Green Tribunal Act 2010", the book has been penned by lawyers Sanjeet Purohit and Ritwick Dutta.
"We collected and compiled those judgements by the NGTs delivered in past 4 years subjectwise with an objective to come out with a comprehensive document as a reference for all the concerned," said Purohit.
"Till now no reference book was available on the subject despite the NGT (National Green Tribunal) having delivered landmark judgements on varied issues pertaining to environment and ecology since its inception," he said.
"This work is an outcome of a perceived need of bringing these conflicts leading to litigations to the notice of lawyers, academicians, activists, students and environmentally vigilant citizens for better understanding of the NGT Act and effectively contribute towards a healthy environment", he said.
The book was launched by senior judge of the Rajasthan High Court justice Govind Mathur here.
