Hailing the Uttar Pradesh government's plan to name one road in every district after former Bihar chief minister Karpoori Thakur, Rajya Sabha MP and Karpoori's son Ram Nath Thakur today said books on the former CM should also be published.
The 68-year-old Janata Dal (United) MP said, "Books on Karpoori Thakur should be published. People, especially youngsters, should know about the life and deeds of Jan Nayak. Research on his life should also be done. In Bihar, there are hostels named after Karpoori Thakur in almost every district."
In a recent interview with PTI, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya had said, "One road in every district of Uttar Pradesh will be named after Karpoori Thakur. Related signage will also be installed. This will tell society that a simple person like him lived and discharged duties effectively."
