Boy kidnapped in Jammu, found abandoned in outskirts

A 14-year-old boy was today abducted from outside his house in the city, but was later found abandoned at Purkhoo area in the outskirts, police said.
Sushant Gandotra (14) was kidnapped from outside his house in the Subhash Nagar area of Jammu city this morning, a police officer said.
He said that police teams were put into action across the city to locate the boy, who was found abandoned at Purkhoo area, around 15 kilometres away from the spot he was kidnapped from.
"The boy says the people who kidnapped him had covered their faces with a scarf. As he is still in a state of shock we are not subjecting him to further questioning," the officer said.

He said a manhunt has been launched to arrest the alleged kidnappers.
