Forest Department sources said Musharraf (10) had been missing since Monday night from his house in Kota Muradnagar village in Kilyar area of Haridwar district. The incident came to light when his mutilated body was found yesterday in a nearby jungle.
In another incident in Bhimtal area in Nainital district, a leopard injured eight people after entering a market and spread terror for about four hours in the area. It was later tranquilised by a team of forest officials, sources said.
In Pithoragarh, a leopard entered Saraswati Balika Vidya Mandir school yesterday and injured four persons, they said.
