Boy seriously injured after falling from school building roof

A six-year-old boy was seriously injured today as he slipped from the roof of a government-run school building in Kendrapara district.
Subhakanta Swain, studying in class 2 in the Podia village primary school under Badiha gram panchayat, had gone up to the roof without informing the teachers. Then he accidentally slipped from the roof and sustained injuries on head and arms, police said.
The injured boy is undergoing treatment at Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital.
The nature of injury is serious. But he is out of danger, hospital sources said.
