Boy sets girl on fire following argument

A girl suffered severe burns when a boy allegedly set her on fire near here, police said today.

In her complaint, she said the boy, known to her, had an argument at her residence and in a fit of rage, set her ablaze by pouring kerosene.

The girl suffered 70 per cent burns and her condition is said to be serious, they said.

Both are minors, police said, adding, a case of attempt to murder has been registered.
