ten was washed away by the heavy current of the Brahmaputra at Pomuagoan in upper Assam's Majuli today.
The boy identified as Manas Protim Dutta was on way to school when he slipped and fell into the river as he was going in a country boat, police sources said.
Search operations have been launched to trace him out, the sources said.
