"Five persons got new lease of life as two kidneys, two eyes (corneas) and the liver of Lomesh Patel of Mumbai were given to them," Manhar Majithiya, media manager of the hospital, told PTI.
Lomesh Patel, resident of Powai area of Mumbai, had come to Gandhidham town in Kutch district to attend a family function when met with an accident on April 19.
"After three-day treatment at the Rajkot hospital, Lomesh was declared brain dead on April 28," he added.
Lomesh's father Karmanbhai Patel had rushed to Rajkot from Mumbai and agreed to donate organs of his son.
The hospital had then called a special ambulance from Ahmedabad to keep the organ, Majithiya said, adding, later the organs were successfully transplanted to the five persons.
