Former Goa PWD minister Churchill Alemao today appeared before the Crime Branch again in connection with Louis Berger bribery case, a day after the sleuths questioned him for over seven hours.
Alemao was the state PWD minister in 2010 when a US company officials reportedly paid bribe to an Indian minister.
"We had asked him (Alemoa) a set of questions during the investigation yesterday. We are continuing to ask him the questions," a senior crime branch official said.
Alemao's statements are crucial ahead of the questioning of former Goa CM Digambar Kamat who is scheduled to appear before the Crime Branch this afternoon.
"We will be questioning Kamat based on the statements by Alemao," the official said.
Both Kamat and Alemao have refuted charges of having accepted any bribe in connection with this case.
