Maharashtra Housing Minister Prakash Mehta today came in for flak for his alleged arrogant behaviour with a TV journalist, while on a visit to review rescue work at Mahad, the site of the bridge collapse tragedy.
The incident happened when the reporter, working for a Marathi TV channel, was trying to seek information from the minister about the status of those missing in the tragedy.
Not only did Mehta behave arrogantly but his supporters forcibly tried to stop the TV cameraman from filming the verbal exchange, the journalist said.
The minister, in his clarification, said the video of the alleged incident being shown on TV channels was "doctored".
