Brief spell of rains bring temp down in Patna

A brief spell of moderate rainfall brought the temperature down in Patna while light to moderate rainfall was reported from a few places in north west, north east of Bihar, MeT Department said.
Very light to light rainfall occurred at one or two places in rest of the state except south central where weather remained mainly dry, it said.
Among the four major cities of the state, Patna received rainfall of 25.6 mm today (8:30 am to 5:30 pm) while Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea received no rainfall, MeT office said.
Bhagalpur registered 4.1 mm of rainfall while Purnea recorded 5.4 mm rainfall in past 24 hours (from yesterday 8:30 am to today's 8:30 am), it said.
Purnea was the hottest place in the state which recorded the maximum temperature of 35.7 degrees Celsius followed by 35.6 degrees Celsius each at Bhagalpur, 34.7 at Gaya and 33.4 in Patna, MeT office said and added that rains made the weather uncomfortable for Patnaites due to increased humidity level.
In its forecast for the next 24 hours for the state, the MeT department has forecast more rains for tomorrow.
Patna and Purnea are expected to witness generally cloudy sky with moderate rain tomorrow while Gaya and Bhagalpur may witness generally cloudy sky with light rain.
Highest percentage of humidity was recorded at 91 in Purnea. It was 87 per cent in Bhagalpur while 74 per cent each in Patna and Gaya.
