The school reception received a call around 12.25 PM and the number of the caller did not flash, suggesting it was an internet-generated call. The caller asked for the principal, but the staff disconnected the call and raised an alarm, a senior police official said.
The authorities put the school under a lockdown and called up the police saying they suspected this to be a repetition of the February 4 incident, following which a police team was sent to inspect the matter, he added.
In the previous incident, students were moved out in a safe and controlled manner and after-school activities were cancelled. However, the caller could not be tracked down.
