The accused, identified as Pintu (30), repeatedly stabbed his sister late last night, police said.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where doctor declared her brought dead, police said, adding the accused fled the spot after the incident.
The body has been handed over to the family of the deceased and a search is on to nab the perpetrator, police said.
The motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, police said.
