According to a complaint filed by the village watchman, Sanjay and Manish visited their in-laws' place yesterday.
The duo has been married to two sisters, Malti and Geeta. The couples had been living apart, SP Ashutosh Dwivedi said.
The duo visited their wives to reconcile with them. However, a clash ensued between the brothers and the family members of the women, he said, adding that some of the villagers also joined the clash.
An FIR has been registered in this regard.
However, Dwivedi said no family member from either side has come forward to register a complaint in the incident.
