BSE receives 253 investor complaints in Oct, fixes 201

Leading stock exchange BSE has received 253 investor complaints pertaining to non-receipt of shares and debt securities against 218 companies in October this year.
During the period, the stock exchange resolved 201 grievances against 165 listed companies, BSE said in a statement. The resolved complaints include those brought forward from the previous period.
Complaints made against the firms included non-receipt of money, shares, demat as well as physical, non-receipt of debt securities, corporate benefits, entitlements and interest, the exchange said.
Of the total complaints received, 231 were against active companies while 22 were against suspended firms during the month.
Out of the total complaints resolved, 199 were against active companies whereas two were against suspended firms.
Vatsa Corporation, with 1,080 complaints, had the highest number of complaints pending against it as of October 31 this year.
Other companies with pending investor complaints as of now are Montari Industries (60), Arihant Industries (57), Enkay Texfoods Industries (53), Montari Leather (50), Mukerian Papers (44), Pentafour Products(39), Lan Eseda Industries (28) Geodesic (27) and Osian Industries (24).
