BSF catches 2 Bangladeshi, 2 Indians from near Indo-Pak border

Border Security Force (BSF) have caught two Bangladeshi nationals and two Indian smugglers from near the Indo-Pak border in Sri Ganganagar district in the past two days, officials said.
While Indian and Bangladeshi currencies have been seized from the Bangladeshi nationals, a 12-bore pistol along with live cartridges of 9 rounds have been confiscated from the smugglers.
According to a BSF official from Rajasthan Frontier, the two Bangladeshi nationals, identified as Shahjahan (24) and Sohrab (36) were attempting to cross over to Pakistan side when the alert jawans of the 52 Battalion of BSF caught them on Wednesday night.
"They were found with possession of Indian currency worth Rs 1379 and Bangladeshi currency worth 8 Takas apart from two cell phones, three SIM cards (one Indian and two Bangladeshi)", said the official.

Similarly, following a tip-off, the same Battalion caught the two Indian smugglers identified as Thana Singh (25) and Jagdish Singh (65) from Sri Ganganagar last night from near Majnu post of the BSF.
"We have seized a 12-bore pistol along with live cartridges of 9 rounds from them", said the official.
The official said that all the four are currently under the custody of the BSF and the preliminary interrogation with them has been going on.
"We hope that the interrogation would lead to some vital clues or leads", official said.
