After receiving information BSF troops launched a special operation in the border outpost Chandnichak in Malda district at about 2 AM and saw some persons carrying a plastic bag, coming from the Indian side to Bangladesh.
As the carriers escaped from the spot on seeing the jawans, the BSF personnel searched the plastic bag left behind and recovered 7.2 kg of Silver Granule and 5.1 KGs of silver ornaments which approximately valued at Rs. 5,22,750, a BSF release said.
The seized ornaments have been handed over to police.
