Kashyap, who was speaking at state-level function here on the death anniversary of BSP founder Kanshi Ram, claimed that Mayawati was never involved in any corruption case and the latest development on the case had only reaffirmed it.
"She is a clean and spotless leader and the best bet for solving the ills afflicting the nation," he said.
He brushed aside suggestions that BSP was ever afraid of CBI or could be browbeaten or pressurised by it.
"If leaders like Chander Shekhar could become prime minister just with a few MPs, why can't Mayawati become PM with BSP winning 70-80 seats of Lok Sabha in 2014," he asked.
He claimed that countrymen want non-Congress and non-BJP government because Congress-led UPA was allegedly mired in corruption and scams while BJP-led NDA had a communal agenda only.
Reacting to Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi yesterday accusing Mayawati of not allowing any Scheduled Caste leader to rise in Uttar Pradesh, Kashyap warned Dalits to be aware of "machinations of Congress' 'Yuvraj' to mislead the Dalits".
"A fake wave is being created in media for Modi," he alleged.
The BSP leader also lashed out at the SAD-BJP government in Punjab, alleging that it had failed on all fronts.
"Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal should voluntarily step-down and seek public apology from Punjabis for pushing Punjab into financial crises and other serious problems," he said.
