Burglars today broke into a former tea manager's house in southern part of the city at early hours today and escaped with cash, ornaments and a licensed revolver, police said.
One of the seven burglars, with covered face along with others, entered into the house of the former top tea official Dipen Mukherjee after cutting open the grilled window on Motilal Gupta Road under Haridevpur police station limits, they said.
The burglars took away Rs 7,000 in cash besides ornaments and a revolver licensed for the safety of the elderly citizen.
