Chairman of APP's 'Poll Campaign Committee' in Punjab and Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann alleged that Amarinder "saved" state minister Bikram Singh Majithia by opposing CBI inquiry against him in the multi-crore drug racket and is now "enacting drama" of burning 'Chitta Ravan'.
Mann said if PPCC Chief was serious about solving drug menace in Punjab he should have then supported AAP's demand of CBI inquiry against Majithia for his alleged involvement in the drug racket.
Amarinder had even made fun of the then PPCC Chief Partap Singh Bajwa for demanding inquiry against Majithia, Mann alleged, adding he should apologise for "supporting the one who is responsible for pushing youth into drugs".
He sought clarification from Bajwa and other Congressmen on whether Amarinder's opposition to CBI inquiry was "justified" at that time.
The Sangrur MP said there is a secret understanding between the "royal family and Badals" to join hands against AAP, as both of the factions have already "smelled their humiliating defeat" in the upcoming assembly elections.
He said if AAP forms the government in Punjab, it would reopen the files related to 'Amritsar Improvement Trust' case.
