goats were killed and another 10 injured when a government bus mowed into a herd of goats being taken for grazing at Sulur on the outskirts.
Paneerselvam, as usual was taking some 400 goats to Kurumbapalayam for grazing from Kalangal area, when a town bus, proceeding to Ukkadam suddenly entered into the herd, killing 10 goats on the spot, police said.
As the bus moved at a distance of 200 feet, after applying brakes, another 10 goats sustained injuries and blood and flesh of the animals was found strewn along the route.
Further investigations are on, even as the mishap was said to be due to poor visibility in the early hours, they said.
