Rahul Kansal, resident of Garh Road in Gokulpuri went to a salon on Monday evening after which he went missing, they said.
His family members suspect kidnapping and have lodged a complaint at the Nauchandi police station, they said.
Prima facie, the case seems related to a business dispute, police officer Vikas Tripathi said, adding that police teams have been formed to trace Kansal who owns a hardware shop in Kamalpur.
Some youths have been taken into custody for questioning, he said.
