Arun, a grain merchant, was robbed off Rs 5 lakh when four bike-borne robbers snatched a bag containing money from him while he was on his way to his shop at New Mandi at Gulaothi, SSP Anant Dev Tiwari said.
They allegedly fired at him but the bullet missed the victim following which they hit him on his head with a stick and snatched the bag, he said.
A case has been registered against four unidentified men, Tiwari said adding that efforts are on to nab the culprits.
