The accused, a businessman, was however let off after 'counselling' as the woman didn't file a formal complaint.
The incident took place on Monday night when the woman, aged between 25-30 years, was returning home from office.
The accused who was driving a high-end car began to follow her after she took a cab in Banjara Hills area. When she got down from the cab, he accosted her and misbehaved with her, a police official said.
Police tracked down the man and confronted him yesterday. He admitted to the act after the police produced CCTV footage.
"No case was registered as the victim did not seek to lodge any formal complaint. She asked the police to warn him....The businessman was counselled and let off," the police official said.
