Cable operator held for raping woman

A local cable operator was arrested here today for allegedly raping a 25-year-old disabled woman and recording the act on a video camera four years ago. Khadak police said that the cable operator Zahir Ahemed Baig (49) raped the victim several times by threatening that he would show the recording to her relatives. A social worker, who got to watch the CD of the recording from Baig's relative, recognised the victim and convinced her to lodge a complaint against Baig. A local court remanded Baig to police custody till February 16.
