Calf dies in tiger attack

A one-month-old calf, which
was attacked by a tiger a few days ago, died today at Valparai in the district.
The carcass was found early today near Kadamparai waterfall Estate and workers informed forest department officials, department sources said.
The veterinarian, Manohar, who performed post-mortem found a deep wound on the forehead of the calf, inflicted by the nails of tiger, indicating that it was attacked by the carnivore, they said.
The calf died as a result of the wound getting septic, they said.
