'Calico Jack' won 'The Welcome Cup', the main event of the first day of races here today.
The winner, owned by C Gnanavel, was ridden by jockey P K Gaddam and trained by P Krishna.
Jockey C Umesh trained four winners while B Suresh trained three winners.
Five favourites obliged in a card of eight races.
