The only camera to return to Earth amongst the 14 sent to the Moon on NASA missions is set to fetch a whopping 150,000 pounds at an auction in Austria.
The Hasselblad "Lunar Module Pilot" camera was used on the Apollo 15 mission in 1971 by Astronaut James B Irwin, who took 229 photos of the the lunar surface.
The camera is estimated to raise between 125,000 and 150,000 pounds when it goes under the hammer on March 22, the Westlitcht Gallery in Vienna said.
The device is from the first generation of NASA motor-driven cameras designed for the Lunar missions, 'Huffington Post UK' reported.
It was silver painted, with raeseau plate and matching body number '38' that was then imprint on any images.
While the 13 other cameras of its type were left on the Moon, this is the only one to return to Earth to let engineers examine how the trip had affected the mechanisms.
