Mbock and members of the Cameroon delegation witnessed the processing and also the fitment of the Jaipur Foot and Jaipur Knee, a release by Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti, which makes the artificial limb, said here.
The founder and chief patron of the BMVSS, D R Mehta took the delegation around the manufacturing centre and showed the visitors how Jaipur foot and other artificial limbs were manufactured and the fitment on the handicaps done, the release said.
Mehta informed the delegation that BMVSS has conducted rehabilitation camps in several African countries and so far over 1.3 million people were the beneficiaries of the artificial limbs and other appliances.
The release said a camp would be held in Cameroon by the BMVSS in which artificial limbs would be provided to 500 persons.
In this camp, technicians of Cameroon would be trained, it said.
