The campaign is part of "Bengaluru Nagarikara Surakshe Abhiyana", which intends to increase citizens' role and responsibility in fighting crime in the city.
It will also build pressure on political parties to ensure safety of the citizens.
Addressing a press meet, Reddy said,"People are scared into submission and ignore such things as long as it doesn't impact them.That is why they became mutespectators to the reign of terror unleashed by MohammedNalapad."
The MLA's son Mohammad Nalapad Haris and his friends had allegedly assaulted a youth Vidhwat, causing severe injuries and triggering a public outrage.
