Canadian Consul General calls on Governor Solanki

Consul General of Canada Christopher Gibbins today called on Governor of Haryana and Punjab, Kaptan Singh Solanki here and discussed various issues including strengthening of partnership in agriculture-related ventures.
Gibbins made a courtesy call of half an hour in a very cordial and amicable atmosphere, an official spokesperson said.
Discussing various issues with the Consul General, the Governor said that Haryana and Punjab are renowned in the field of agriculture because of very fertile land, availability of water and hard-working farmers, he said.
Solanki suggested that efforts be made to strengthen partnership in agriculture-related ventures, especially food processing, which has major scope for collaboration while Gibbins showed keen interest in the culture and customs of this region, the spokesperson said.
