Car festival: Pondy CM pulls chariot along with devotees

Puducherry Chief Minister N.Rangasamy pulled the chariot of the 19th century shrine of Sengazhuneer Amman in the neighbouring coastal village of Veerampattinam today.
Speaker V Sabapathy, legislators, chairmen of various government undertakings and representatives of different wings of organisations were among those who dragged the chariot.
The Chief Minister and others later offered worship at the sanctum sanctorum.
A large number of people from different parts of Puducherry and neighbouring districts of Tamil Nadu turned up at the shrine and pulled the chariot.
