Cardamom rises by 1.4% on spot demand
Fresh positions built up by participants driven by pickup in demand influenced prices
Press Trust of India New Delhi Cardamom prices rose 1.36% to Rs 835 per kg in futures trade today, supported by rising spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in July rose by Rs 11.20, or 1.36% to Rs 835.00 per kg in a business turnover of 10 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions built up by participants driven by pickup in demand at the spot market amid restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
