Case registered against MLA Simarjit Bains

The city police today registered a case against Independent MLA from Ludhiana Simarjit Singh Bains for allegedly creating obstructions in the line of duty of a public servant.
The Police Commissioner (CP), Ludhiana Pramraj Singh Umranangal said he escaped from the police at Vardhman Chowk here while on his way to Chandigarh to gherao the residence of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
He also allegedly misbehaved with the police men present on duty.
Bains was booked under various sections including 186, 332 of IPC at police station 7 (Vardhman Police Station).
