Tamil film actress Vindhya and some AIADMK functionaries were booked today for campaigning without obtaining proper permission in the city, police said.
Vindhya, one of a few film personalities undertaking campaigning for the ruling party in Tamil Nadu, was here yesterday, seeking votes for AIADMK Candidate Mahendran, police said.
The actress or AIADMK had not sought proper permission for the campaign and based on the complaints from Election Commission, cases were registered against her and party functionaries, who organised the meeting, under various sections of IPC, sources said.
