Castorseed up 2% on rising export and industrial demand

Delivery in December month contract rose by 1.97%

Castorseed prices firmed up by Rs.95, or 2.01%, to Rs.4,817 per quintal in futures trade today after speculators enlarged positions amidst export demand sparked by emerging physical markets.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed for most-active January next year contracts jumped by Rs.95, or 2.01% to Rs.4,817 per quintal, with an open interest of 3,53,290 lots.

Also, delivery in December month contract rose by Rs.92, or 1.97% to Rs.4,773 per quintal, having an open interest of 21,950 lots.

Marketmen attributed rise in castorseed prices at futures trade to rising export and industrial demand.
